Soon it is almost a year since the adoption of the famous and controversial Government Emergency Ordinance no. 114/2018, which practically overturned the entire energy industry in Romania.
For many of the actors in the sector, the ordinance has largely meant a significant cancellation of the progress of the last years of the liberalization of the electricity and natural gas markets.
Others considered it a necessary evil, namely an unpleasant but inevitable legislative correction of certain excessive and perhaps premature aspects of liberalization.
Some call for its full repeal and return to the original situation, others only offer detail adjustments, plus the return to a gradual liberalization of markets.
Under these conditions, Profit ENERGY.Forum intends to make an x-ray of the situation of the Romanian energy industry in the new conditions determined by GEO no. 114/2018, but also of other market trends and developments, macroeconomic and geopolitical. Thus, the main voices of the sector, both within the major energy companies and within the regulatory institutions, are “brought to the report”.

DISCUSSION THEMES

  • The liberalization of the gas market and the need to protect the vulnerable consumer
  • The competitive energy market, where?
